About me
I am a policy analyst, researcher, and data analyst with expertise in labour economics, health economics and applied econometrics. I hold two master's degrees, including a Master of Arts in Economics (with thesis) from Simon Fraser University.
Policy Analyst and Researcher
I enjoy working with data to understand real-world problems—especially those related to jobs, health, and inequality. My research during my Master’s at Simon Fraser University looked at how the COVID-19 pandemic affected women and men differently in the Canadian labour market. I used national survey data to explore changes in employment and pay, and my findings highlight important gaps in how the pandemic impacted different groups.
I’m skilled in using tools like R, Stata, Python, and Power BI to work with large datasets and find meaningful patterns. I’ve also worked on projects related to public health and family safety, often combining numbers with stories to help others understand what the data is really saying.
In addition to research, I’ve supported students as a teaching assistant in economics courses, and I’ve worked in roles that required strong communication and attention to detail. I believe good research should not only be accurate—it should also be clear and useful to people making decisions.
Right now, I’m looking for opportunities where I can use my skills to support projects in policy, research, or data analysis. I’m especially interested in work that aims to create fairer outcomes and improve people’s lives.
Outside of work, I live in Burnaby, BC, with my family. I love reading, cooking, and spending time with my toddler, who keeps me on my toes every day.
